Quick game one game · about 6 min
The room to start in.
- A single game: 1 point for a win, 2 for a gammon, 3 for a backgammon.
- The higher opening roll plays both opening dice.
- Rated. Every game counts.
Backgammon Pearl
A game starts in seconds, any time. Rated rooms, friends by code, and dice sealed before the first roll that you can check yourself when the game ends. Ads wait until the game is over.
Free. No chips, no coins, nothing for sale that touches a result.
The seal
Most backgammon apps ask you to trust their dice. This one lets you check them, roll by roll.
The server picks a secret seed and shows its fingerprint on the table: Dice sealed 6668…2925. Change the seed and the fingerprint changes with it.
When the game starts, your phone draws its own random number and sends it in. Every roll is computed from the seed and your number together. Neither side can pick a roll on its own.
The game-over card reveals the seed, recomputes every roll and reports all 52 rolls match. Paste the same seed into the checker on this site and you get the same rolls.

Quick game
Tap Quick game and you are rolling within seconds, at lunch or at three in the morning. One game takes about six minutes.
Roll with a tap. Move by tapping a checker, then a point. Undo as often as you like until you press Done. Forced moves play themselves, and a roll you cannot play passes with a note that says so.

Ads
An ad can appear only after a game or a match ends, and only when enough minutes have passed since the last one.
Never between the games of a match. Never over the board. Never before the rematch button. The occasional ad is what keeps the game free; there is nothing else to pay for.

Rooms
Both rooms play international rules without the doubling cube, so you learn one game and play it everywhere.
The room to start in.
Three points, however they come.

Day and evening
Hold the phone sideways. By day the board sits on light oak; with your phone's dark mode it moves to walnut and lamplight.
The board is drawn straight from above, with big checkers and clear points. Pip counts, borne-off counts and the clock sit on the two plates.

Open a table, send the code, and your friend sits down across from you. Choose 1, 3 or 5 points, international or Turkish rules. Friend games are unrated.
No chips, no coins, no energy, no purchases. Nothing you can buy touches a result, and your rating is the only score that matters.
The whole game in both languages, including the Turkish names for the rolls. Your phone's language decides, and you can switch in Settings.
Backgammon Pearl is on Google Play. The App Store version is on its way.
